Tim Ames is a man of the people. Now, he wants to advocate for and work with, the people of Binghamton. Tim is running for the city council seat in district 6. He grew up on the south side, and has chosen to raise his family in the same neighborhood he grew up in. Tim is passionate about our city's infrastructure; safety; prosperity; and overall wellness of the city of Binghamton. He is anxious to be a part of the change to maintain safe and decent neighborhoods through better code enforcement and infrastructure. Tim will work to increase transparency and accountability for public works projects. He's ready to advocate on behalf of the overtaxed residents of Binghamton. Vote for Tim Ames on November 5th!

Tim believes in democracy, and democratic process. Utilizing your right to vote not only allows you to actively participate in your Government, but more importantly, allows your voice to be heard! Please consider voting for Tim on November 5th if you seek a positive change in our city. Tim will work toward greater transparency from elected officials. Tim Ames in short

Tim Ames was born in 1982 to parents Kathy and Dave. Tim grew up in Broome County, as a single child. Tim graduated with a regents diploma from Binghamton High School in 2000. He then went on to SUNY Broome and studied Business Management and Civil Engineering. Tim also enjoyed being a percussionist and drummer in his youth. Especially when he could make others earbuds happy! Tim has an extensive and proven background in retail sales and management. This, along with Tim's choice to become a Direct Support Professional for New York State this year, is a strong indicator of Tim's willingness and dedication to work with and help others. Tim enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially his wife Gabrielle their beautiful daughter and son. As a family, the Ames' enjoy going to the beach, hiking, spending time in our areas parks,  and taking drives to experience other communities. Tim has enjoyed many meaningful connections made throughout the years a resident of Binghamton. As a young man, Tim worked at the CVS on Court Street where he encountered the vast diversity of the community. From knowing many of the so-called "characters" of Binghamton to befriending many of Binghamton's business elite and everyone in between, Tim values those from every walk of life. Tim also enjoys the history of the Parlor city, and how the grandiose days of yesteryear offered great promise for our area. Tim is a left leaning moderate who believes in community and the civic duty to ensure all have basic needs and rights defended. Tim is a proud member of CSEA local 449, and is a strong supporter of labor. Tim also knows the pain of ever increasing costs of living; taxes; and stagnate economical growth. Because of this, Tim will work hard to encourage balance and to see that all needs are met. He appreciates others ideas and efforts to move toward prosperity. Tim is anxious and excited to serve the public further.
